The Graduate Certificate in Human Services equips students with specialized understanding of sociology, social policy development, Indigenous matters, and professional communication. The program explores current Australian societal challenges and their implications for human services, particularly within social work contexts. Participants will enhance their verbal and written communication abilities, critical analysis, and contextual reasoning skills within an Australian framework.
A dedicated unit examines the diverse social, cultural, and political circumstances affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Upon completion, graduates will possess the knowledge and competencies to address various human services challenges, preparing them for careers in Human Services or Social Work. Please note this program isn't offered as an independent qualification for international students. Full-time study requires 36 hours of in-person workshops per unit. ACAP has accredited this program through its self-accrediting authority.
