Welcome to Youngstown State University's Bachelor of General Studies program. As an innovative institution, we recognize that not every student wants to follow a single academic path. Our General Studies major offers a versatile, adaptable curriculum that prioritizes your goals, interests, and career objectives. This program enables you to concentrate on two academic areas, blending insights from multiple disciplines to create a comprehensive and diverse educational experience. Throughout your studies, you'll sharpen essential skills like writing, public speaking, data analysis, and critical thinking. Applicants must have graduated from high school or have successfully completed the General Education Development (GED) test to be considered for admission. Freshman applicants applying for admission to Youngstown State University must submit a high school transcript and American College Test (ACT) or Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) scores.
