Participate in Baja Cars, Battle Bots, and NASA robotics competitions. The undergraduate curriculum establishes a solid foundation in mathematics, sciences, and engineering principles, along with specialized tracks in solid mechanics systems design and analysis, thermal fluid flow systems, and dynamic systems. Beyond receiving an excellent education, most students engage in cooperative education or internship opportunities during their studies, enhancing their employability after graduation. Program graduates secure positions across the diverse mechanical engineering employment landscape.
Applicants must have graduated from high school or have successfully completed the General Education Development (GED) test to be considered for admission. Freshman applicants applying for admission to Youngstown State University must submit a high school transcript and American College Test (ACT) or Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) scores.
