Explore the musical repertoire, collaborate with a globally recognized faculty, and guide ensembles through rehearsals and performances. Choral conductors receive personalized instruction from faculty members and participate in regular supervised conducting sessions with both the Repertory and Recital choruses. Participation in the Yale Camerata is mandatory, along with weekly seminar attendance and an annual conducting recital. First-year students co-direct the Repertory Chorus in joint performances, while advanced students present a full recital with the Recital Chorus. Two terms of vocal training are required as a secondary focus. Selected students may have the opportunity to assist with faculty-led ensembles.
