The Yale School of Music's harp program provides instruction in solo and ensemble performance, along with teaching experiences and extracurricular activities. Through individual lessons and regular studio workshops, students are motivated to study an extensive range of musical pieces. Participants engage in chamber music, a core component of YSM's curriculum, frequently performing in diverse ensemble arrangements during the New Music New Haven concerts. Additionally, harpists join the Yale Philharmonia orchestra, gaining valuable orchestral training across various musical styles while collaborating with renowned visiting conductors.
