Each student focusing on Philosophical Theology and Philosophy of Religion receives a customized program. The curriculum mandates eighteen credit hours in biblical and theological studies—encompassing areas like moral, historical, liberation, and systematic theology—with a minimum of six credits each in biblical and theological coursework. Another eighteen hours must be completed in philosophical theology or philosophy of religion. Students may enroll in social science courses or religion-focused historical and philosophical studies through other University departments, particularly Religious Studies and Philosophy. The program requires at least one course that thoroughly examines how white supremacy and the dominance of white male perspectives shape theological and philosophical discussions.
