Yale's neuroscience faculty lead interdisciplinary research initiatives that form the core of the Interdepartmental Neuroscience Program (INP). This distinctive, comprehensive training initiative operates as a boundary-free academic unit, designed to expose students to the widest possible range of neuroscience research areas. With contributions from over 100 faculty across 20 departments spanning Arts and Sciences to Medicine - including fields from psychiatry to pharmacology, and cell biology to computer science - the program creates a unified, cooperative community. While maintaining their departmental ties, INP faculty work collectively to cultivate graduate students' understanding of neuroscience's vast scope and to promote multifaceted approaches to scientific inquiry.
