Our primary teaching staff of 66 faculty members is complemented by visiting professors and graduate teaching assistants, forming one of America's largest economics departments. With approximately 130 Ph.D. candidates, we maintain an exceptional faculty-to-student ratio. The Economics Department maintains strong collaborations with Yale's professional schools, including the School of Management, School of the Environment, and School of Public Health, where numerous adjunct faculty teach. Additionally, we partner with research centers such as the Cowles Foundation for Economic Research, the Economic Growth Center, and the recently established Tobin Center for Economic Policy.
Applicants must have completed your undergraduate degree (bachelor's or equivalent) or will have completed it prior to your intended matriculation date at Yale.
