The Modern Middle East Studies program explores the contemporary Middle East's diverse cultural, historical, religious, political, and social aspects across its entire geographic scope. Students gain proficiency in key regional languages such as Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, or Turkish while selecting courses from various humanities and social science departments. These include Anthropology, History, Art History, Judaic Studies, Political Science, Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations, Religious Studies, and Sociology. This major equips students with critical analytical abilities and language competencies to navigate the region's complexities, providing strong foundations for advanced academic pursuits or professional fields requiring Middle East expertise.
Applicants must have a completion of high school.
Applicants will have IELTS scores of 7.0 or higher and Pearson Test scores of 70 or higher. TOEFL scores of at least the following: 100 on the internet-based TOEFL; 25 on the paper-and-paper TOEFL Paper-delivered Test.
