The Latin American Studies program aims to deepen knowledge about Latin American societies and cultures through both regional and global lenses. This interdisciplinary major combines language, literature, history, art history, theater studies, humanities, and social sciences, with faculty drawn from various University departments. Designed for both academic rigor and personal development, each student creates a customized curriculum that meets specified requirements and gains approval from the director of undergraduate studies (DUS). While coursework spans humanities and social sciences, students typically focus their studies in one of these areas.
