The Master of Arts in International and Comparative Politics equips students for advanced doctoral studies in international relations, comparative politics, or similar disciplines. This program also serves professionals seeking further international education while working in public or private sectors. Through graduate seminars, study abroad programs, and practical experiences, students engage with academic research and real-world applications. Five specialized concentrations are available: Area Studies, Peace and Security Studies, Intelligence Studies, Global Gender Studies, or International Organizations. Participants must fulfill requirements in either quantitative research methods or a modern foreign language. The required elective hours vary based on the selected path: Research or Exam Track. Research Track students can opt for either a (1) conventional thesis or (2) a committee-guided project. Exam Track candidates complete a comprehensive assessment covering core subjects, methodologies, and their chosen specialization. A dual degree option with the Master of Public Administration is available. (Prospective dual degree students must submit separate applications for both programs.)
