Classics explores the civilizations of ancient Greece and Rome. These societies have significantly shaped Western culture, particularly in domains such as language, literature, art, architecture, governance, spirituality, and intellectual thought. Wright State's Classics program provides courses across these disciplines. The Greek concentration enables students to specialize in Greek linguistics, literary works, and cultural heritage. The curriculum mandates seven semesters of Greek language instruction, supplemented by elective options spanning various aspects of Classical studies.

Qualification Requirements

To apply to Wright State University, you must have earned a certificate of completion from a secondary education school that would allow you to attend university in your home country. You should have studied mathematics and science subjects at the secondary level.
All transcripts must be submitted directly to your student application portal with university grading scale used to confer degree.
Students must submit their official transcript bearing the university stamp, hologram, seal, or university registrar's signature.
All students must truthfully report their full academic education history, past and current. Failure to do so will result in the delay of processing the application.
You must have a 2.5 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and a minimum score of English proficiency from one of these tests:

Students who show proof of successful completion of an Intensive English Program from an accredited Institution or program accepted by international admissions are exempt from the requirement to take an approved English Proficiency exam.
