With escalating climate challenges, grasping Earth's systems and their connection to human activity grows increasingly vital. The Geography Major enables you to examine atmospheric patterns, geological formations, and water cycles while exploring how societal factors like global integration, population trends, city growth, and cultural identity formation influence our planet's landscapes and climate. You'll cultivate critical analysis and solution-finding abilities applicable across scientific, environmental, and policy-focused professions. These concepts come alive through practical work in our GIS and geoscience labs, complemented by field internships or research collaborations with community partners. High-achieving students may qualify for Gamma Theta Upsilon, the global geography honors association.
