WPI's innovative and highly-ranked Bachelor of Science in Interactive Media & Game Development (IMGD) program challenges and hones your skills as you delve into both the technical and creative dimensions of game design. Within our tight-knit community, students and professors share a common enthusiasm for reimagining conventional media to craft groundbreaking new forms. From your very first day on campus, you'll be breaking barriers and creating meaningful projects—be it games, interactive stories, artistic installations, collaborative performances, or virtual worlds. This program delivers an exceptional cross-disciplinary education in interactive application principles and computer-based game creation. While students specialize in either the artistic or technical track, everyone builds a comprehensive foundation spanning computer science, math, science, art, music, and humanities.
IMGD students accepted into the BS/MS accelerated program can apply select courses toward both degrees, typically finishing in about five years.
