Our actuarial mathematics degree program features a comprehensive curriculum with specialized math classes along with foundational studies in business, economics, data science, and computer science. After establishing core mathematical principles, you'll progress to higher-level subjects including interest theory, risk assessment, loss modeling, and survival analysis. The program also develops your programming abilities while covering essential business topics like corporate finance and project leadership.
Through challenging academic work and practical applications, you'll be well-prepared for the professional certification exams from both the Society of Actuaries (SOA) and Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS). WPI's curriculum also fulfills the Validation by Educational Experience (VEE) prerequisites set by these actuarial organizations.
