The Master of Arts (M.A.) in Clinical and Counseling Psychology equips students for professional careers in counseling, psychological assessment, and mental health research. The coursework offers comprehensive training in both theoretical frameworks and practical interventions applicable across diverse mental health, academic, and research environments. Our focus centers on developing clinical expertise, ethical practice, cultural sensitivity, personal growth, and mastery of contemporary scientific and theoretical principles. Graduates emerge prepared for roles as licensed mental health practitioners, researchers, or professionals in human services organizations. The program also serves as excellent preparation for those planning to pursue doctoral degrees.
Our Clinical and Counseling Psychology M.A. program maintains accreditation from the Masters in Psychology and Counseling Accreditation Council (MPCAC), meeting all psychology education standards through July 2025 (initial accreditation granted July 2015).
