William Paterson University's Professional Counseling Program, in collaboration with the Educational Leadership program, is pursuing approval to provide a certification program for aspiring Directors of School Counseling Services. This initiative targets qualified individuals aiming to obtain certification for PK-12 school counseling leadership roles in New Jersey. The Director of School Counseling Services endorsement qualifies holders to oversee, administer, and supervise counseling programs and related educational activities across all grade levels from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.

To qualify for New Jersey certification as a Director of School Counseling Services, candidates must fulfill all coursework requirements and possess a minimum of three years' experience as a PK-12 school counselor.
