Wichita State's nationally accredited Master of Physician Assistant (MPA) program equips you to work alongside physicians in just over two years. As Kansas' sole program of this type, it provides exceptional hands-on training in the state's medical center while creating pathways to lucrative, in-demand careers across diverse healthcare environments.
At Wichita State, experiential education takes center stage. Every degree program incorporates guaranteed practical learning or research components, ensuring you graduate with job-ready skills and real-world experience.
This 26-month program spans seven semesters, structured into two phases: 53 credit hours of academic instruction followed by 40 credit hours of clinical rotations and research in diverse locations, including rural areas, cities, and underserved populations.
Upon completion, graduates qualify to sit for the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants examination, a mandatory requirement for PA licensure nationwide.
