Wichita State's Master of Music Education (MME) program elevates your musical abilities while providing essential training for a fulfilling career in music education. Our experienced faculty, who bring real-world teaching expertise, will guide you through hands-on learning experiences within Kansas' most extensive school district. At Wichita State, we prioritize practical education—every degree program includes mandatory applied learning or research components, ensuring you graduate with job-ready skills. Choose from multiple specialization tracks: choral and elementary music, instrumental conducting, instrumental music (including recital performance), music in special education, or vocal studies. The MME program requires 32-36 credit hours to complete.
