Wichita State's undergraduate certificate in social work and child welfare offers focused training for bachelor's-level students preparing for careers or advanced studies. This credential is also open to practicing social workers with a BSW degree. The 17-credit-hour program includes five courses, preparing graduates to excel in child welfare social work roles. Students may transfer up to 3 credit hours from other institutions. This specialized program develops essential child welfare competencies for undergraduates entering professional practice or pursuing graduate education. You must submit your official final high school transcript as soon as it is available. If you do not submit your final official transcript to us by the end of your first semester at Wichita State University,
you will not be allowed to enroll for subsequent terms.
