The School of Music encompasses specialized programs in music education, composition-musicology, keyboard, strings, vocal studies, and winds/percussion, providing comprehensive training for aspiring music professionals. The curriculum also enables students to explore music as an academic discipline within the humanities. Student, faculty, and guest performances are complemented by broader fine arts initiatives across the community.
Music students benefit from exceptional facilities in the Duerksen Fine Arts Center and Wiedemann Hall, featuring the Lewis and Selma Miller Concert Hall along with Wiedemann's performance venue. This 1986-built auditorium notably houses North America's inaugural Marcussen organ installation.
