Students enrolled in the Environmental Science program may choose to specialize in an ecological concentration by selecting the Freshwater & Terrestrial Ecology track. This specialized path shares identical prerequisites, core requirements, and credit hours with the general Environmental Science degree. Students pursuing the Freshwater and Terrestrial Ecology concentration complete their studies by choosing from a curated list of approved courses. These selected classes satisfy the program's four foundational components: a culminating capstone, two combined lecture-lab courses, hands-on environmental fieldwork, and supplementary credits to reach the total degree requirements. The approved course list for this concentration specifically prepares students for professional careers or advanced studies in freshwater and terrestrial ecosystems.
