The Electrical and Computer Engineering program provides a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical and computer engineering.
This program benefits current students, industry partners, the University, and Washington state residents by equipping students to develop practical engineering solutions while considering global, economic, environmental, and societal implications.
The educational approach focuses on hands-on laboratory learning, collaborative teamwork, effective communication, and analytical thinking, while the curriculum delivers contemporary, applicable engineering knowledge grounded in solid mathematical and scientific principles.
ABET's Engineering Accreditation Commission accredits the Electrical and Computer Engineering program at abet.org.
Students start the major during their first year's second quarter with foundation courses and typically take one or more program courses each term until graduation. Numerous laboratory courses combine practical design experience and culminate in a capstone project that begins late in the third year and continues through the fourth year.
