Biology explores the science of life and living beings. Biologists aim to achieve three key objectives: (1) comprehending how organisms are structured and how they operate, (2) producing and sharing accurate biological data, and (3) cultivating profound insights into nature that can address pressing environmental, health, and societal challenges.
As instructors, our mission is to offer rigorous academic curricula that spark inquisitiveness, innovation, and enduring analytical skills in students undertaking a liberal arts biology education. Every Bachelor of Science program in Biology caters to learners aiming for advanced studies or professional paths in biological sciences or education. These programs are structured to help students build a cohesive understanding of biological principles while honing analytical reasoning, numerical problem-solving, leadership, teamwork, and research capabilities.
This curriculum centers on organismal structure, function, ecological relationships, and evolutionary processes, highlighting the diversity of life forms. Graduates earn a Bachelor of Science degree, with official transcripts specifying Biology - Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology Emphasis.
The Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal (EEO) Biology Emphasis program delves into organismal architecture, operations, ecological interactions, and evolutionary patterns, particularly focusing on plant and animal life.
