The Entrepreneurship program at Western New England University empowers students to transform innovative concepts into thriving businesses or groundbreaking products for established companies. Through specialized coursework, partnerships with our College of Engineering, and connections with the business sector, we create an ideal environment for aspiring entrepreneurs and corporate innovators. Our university fosters an entrepreneurial spirit, promoting interdisciplinary teamwork and creative thinking across all academic disciplines. Business students can engage in joint initiatives with the Entrepreneurship Club and experiential programs like 3 Day Start-up—an intensive 72-hour workshop that immerses participants in real-world entrepreneurial challenges.
As an AACSB International accredited institution, we offer two specialized tracks: entrepreneurship for future business owners and intrapreneurship for corporate innovators. Our curriculum spans from Venture Feasibility to Business Law for Entrepreneurs, featuring unique collaborations like our Product Development and Innovations course where engineering and business students jointly develop patent-worthy products. Our teams have consistently ranked in the top 10 at the ASME Innovation Showcase, and student ventures have earned over $33,000 in Grinspoon Spirit Awards funding.
Graduates of our Entrepreneurship program emerge ready to launch independent ventures or drive innovation within major corporations. The skills acquired apply equally to business, government, nonprofit, and academic settings pursuing growth through innovation. Potential intrapreneurial roles include marketing leadership, product management, customer experience strategy, innovation direction, and any position focused on organizational transformation and change management.
