Students enrolled in the accelerated graduate degree program with senior status can register for up to 12 credit hours of specified 5000 and 6000 level courses that count toward graduate requirements. These approved courses may fulfill requirements for both undergraduate and graduate degrees. The Political Science Department's accelerated program enables WMU political science undergraduates to start earning credits toward their master's degree while finishing their bachelor's program.
This program is open to WMU undergraduate students:
Who are enrolled as a Political Science major at WMU
Who have senior status, are declared political science majors, have earned a minimum of 30 credit hours at WMU and at least 20 credit hours towards the political science major.
Who have an undergraduate minimum GPA of 3.5 based on 45 credit hours with at least 15 hours earned at WMU.
Minimum English proficiency test scores:
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): 80 iBT
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic: 6.5
Pearson Test of English, Academic Module (PTE): 54
Michigan English Test (MET): 57
