The Master of Arts in Mathematics Education enhances and broadens secondary educators' comprehension of mathematical concepts along with their teaching methodologies. By blending theoretical knowledge with practical applications, this degree empowers teachers to improve their instructional skills, take on leadership positions in curriculum development, and pursue advanced doctoral studies in mathematics education if desired.
Admission to this curriculum requires a bachelor’s degree with at least a secondary teaching minor in mathematics, equivalent to that offered at Western, and fifteen hours of undergraduate work in professional education or its equivalent.
