The Master of Arts program specializing in Medieval Language and Literature offers students an opportunity to concentrate on the literary works of the medieval era. This track doesn't mandate GRE scores for admission. As a 33-credit degree path, participants must complete core courses including ENGL 6150 (Literary Criticism), ENGL 6900 (Scholarship and Writing in the Profession), ENGL 5300 (Medieval Literature), ENGL 5760 (Introduction to Old Norse), and ENGL 6760 (Old English). Students then choose two additional medieval-focused electives from available options, which may include further literature studies or advanced work in Old Norse or Old English. The program's remaining 12 credits can be fulfilled through any departmental course offerings.
