Complete both your Bachelor's and Master's degrees faster through the 4+1 Accelerated Graduate Degree Program in Communication at Western Michigan University. This unique opportunity enables School of Communication undergraduates to begin graduate coursework while finishing their bachelor's studies.
As a senior admitted to the accelerated track, you can apply up to 12 graduate credits toward both degree requirements simultaneously.
The communication bachelor's program comprises 122 credits, while the Master of Arts requires 30 credits. Through this accelerated pathway, you can double-count up to 12 graduate credits toward both degrees, saving time and resources.
This program is open to undergraduate students:
Must be a major in the School of Communication; other WMU majors may be approved by the graduate director on a case-by-case basis.
By the initial semester of AGDP enrollment, must have obtained senior status, have earned a minimum of 15 credit hours at WMU, and have completed as least 18 hours in their major at WMU or at another institution.
An undergraduate minimum GPA of 3.5 (based on at least 15 hours earned at WMU).
Minimum English proficiency test scores:
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): 80 iBT
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic: 6.5
Pearson Test of English, Academic Module (PTE): 54
Michigan English Test (MET): 57
