The geographic information science certificate program caters to post-baccalaureate students across various fields including social and physical sciences, public administration, IT, engineering, business, and other areas requiring expertise in managing and analyzing spatial data.
The geospatial applications of unoccupied aircraft systems (UAS) certificate equips post-baccalaureate students with foundational knowledge to earn FAA certification as small UAS remote pilots. This nine-credit program emphasizes acquiring and processing aerial imagery to create precise 2D land cover maps, vegetation health assessments, digital elevation models, and 3D terrain reconstructions.
All applicants must have basic facility in desktop computer operations and must have a basic knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics equivalent to the requirements in STAT 3660.
