This certification program is designed for professionals who hold a master's degree and wish to pursue the state's Administrator Certification with a Central Office Endorsement by completing 21 additional credit hours.
According to Michigan Department of Education regulations, all school administrators must possess a valid School Administrator Certificate, with numerous districts mandating Central Office Endorsements for their leadership teams. Western Michigan University's Ed.S. or Ph.D. in Educational Leadership with a K-12 Leadership concentration provides the coursework needed to earn this endorsement.
Applicants to this graduate certificate must have a completed master’s degree prior to beginning the credits toward the certificate.
Minimum English proficiency test scores:
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): 80 iBT
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic: 6.5
Pearson Test of English, Academic Module (PTE): 54
Michigan English Test (MET): 57
