Western Michigan University's Health Administration program equips students for leadership and administrative positions in healthcare settings. This interdisciplinary curriculum combines courses from the College of Health and Human Services and the Haworth College of Business. Subjects covered span the U.S. healthcare system, public and community health, cultural awareness, organizational theory and development, healthcare management, process evaluation and enhancement, human resources management, healthcare IT systems, legal aspects of healthcare, policy development, leadership skills, applied statistics for decision-making, health economics, long-term care services, healthcare promotion, financial management, ethical considerations in healthcare and business, strategic planning, and quality improvement in patient care.
A first-year applicant is a student who is applying for admission and who has not attempted or earned any college credit after graduating from high school/secondary school (or earned equivalent).
Minimum English proficiency test scores:
