Mechanical engineers develop and create machinery, tools, power systems, and various mechanical devices. They employ creative problem-solving to develop instruments, control mechanisms, engines, and thermal or hydraulic systems.
These professionals oversee the creation of testing equipment while establishing protocols for product evaluation. They manage construction processes to ensure alignment with technical plans and client requirements. Mechanical engineers also supervise operational procedures and maintenance to optimize equipment performance. Additionally, they assess existing installations and propose design improvements to resolve operational issues.
A first-year applicant is a student who is applying for admission and who has not attempted or earned any college credit after graduating from high school/secondary school (or earned equivalent).
