Western Michigan University provides a cutting-edge USD 28.5-million facility and two academic pathways for chemistry undergraduates - a general arts and sciences chemistry program and an American Chemical Society-accredited chemistry degree.
The ACS-accredited chemistry program at WMU caters to students uncertain about graduate studies or aiming for immediate employment in the chemical sector after completing their bachelor's degree. This rigorous pathway mandates advanced coursework to complete the curriculum, offering stronger preparation for technical careers while being more challenging. Certain employers specifically recruit graduates with ACS-accredited degrees or provide enhanced starting compensation to these qualified individuals.
A first-year applicant is a student who is applying for admission and who has not attempted or earned any college credit after graduating from high school/secondary school (or earned equivalent).
