The metals and jewelry program delves into the materials and techniques required to create jewelry, decorative items, functional objects, and metal sculptures. Central to the curriculum is the development of creative concepts and ideas. In specialized, well-ventilated studios, students engage with real-world artistic challenges faced by professionals.
This program provides comprehensive training in technical methods applicable to both jewelry-making and sculpture. While conceptual development remains the core focus, courses also guide students in mastering the unique properties and techniques of non-ferrous metals. Introductory classes feature extensive demonstrations, visual presentations, and discussions about technical approaches and artistic theory. As students progress, they cultivate distinctive artistic portfolios while building strong technical expertise.
