This Financial Planning Magazine-recognized program, accredited by the Certified Financial Planner Board, provides comprehensive financial planning training. You can apply to oversee a $2.5 million real-money portfolio in our Greenleaf Trust Trading Room through the Student Managed Investment Fund course, guided by professional money managers, while also preparing for the Series 7 exam and obtaining Bloomberg certification.
At Western Michigan University, our personal financial planning curriculum develops crucial interviewing and analytical abilities to prepare you for a successful finance career. Ideal candidates enjoy working with people and are committed to refining their client communication skills. After completing the required courses, you'll qualify to take the CFP certification exam.
A first-year applicant is a student who is applying for admission and who has not attempted or earned any college credit after graduating from high school/secondary school (or earned equivalent).
