The Psychology Department provides Master of Science programs in clinical/community mental health and general experimental psychology, along with a Specialist degree in school psychology. These programs are exclusively offered at WIU's Macomb campus. School psychology candidates must complete at least 66 graduate semester hours, combining coursework and practical field experiences. Should a student fulfill core requirements with fewer than 66 hours, they must supplement with approved graduate-level courses from related disciplines like elementary education, special education, counselor education, or educational administration. All additional coursework requires advisor approval.
