The Department of Health Sciences and Social Work is dedicated to developing exceptional academic, research, and community service initiatives that support the objectives of the College of Education and Human Services and Western Illinois University. Our department aims to equip students with the skills to become competent practitioners both domestically and globally by combining the diverse fields of public health education, healthcare administration, and social work, while also enhancing the University's Human Well-Being program. We achieve this goal through interactive instruction, practical research, and dedicated community involvement.
