The Department of Political Science provides an extensive academic program for students pursuing either a Master's (MA) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree. Numerous PhD graduates from our department have secured tenure-track faculty positions at institutions like the University of Pittsburgh, West Virginia Wesleyan College, Longwood University, Monmouth University, and Wright State University. Our MA and PhD alumni have also found careers with government organizations and non-profits, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, and the U.S. Department of State.

Beyond rigorous research methodology training, students can select from courses across various disciplines - American politics, comparative politics, international relations, political theory, and public policy - all taught by distinguished faculty.
