Our Coaching and Performance Science (CPS) bachelor's degree is one of the only kinesiology undergraduate programs in the country specifically focused on coaching and performance science. The CPS degree is ideal for people who aspire to:
Work in diverse settings with participants varying in skill and ages
Be an agent of change through their interactions, communication and motivation of people to reach their potential
Students graduating with a degree in CPS could work with high-performance athletes in athletic or tactical contexts, or with recreational participants in community or club leagues.
Interested students are admitted into the MDS-CAHS major. Students must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.0 to graduate from WVU. Students who fall below this 2.0 GPA will be placed on academic probation and subject to additional requirements such as required meetings with academic advisers and a retention specialist, study halls and tutoring, meeting with peer advisers, and meetings with the CAHS academic affairs committee.
English Language Requirements: TOEFL Internet-Based = 79; IELTS = 6.5; Duolingo English Test = 105, Pearson Test of English Academic = 53. In some cases, SAT reading or ACT English test scores may be used to meet English Proficiency.
