This certification program empowers students to expand their understanding and skills in areas crucial for professions within international institutions, diplomatic services, multinational companies, and globally engaged non-governmental organizations. The curriculum extends beyond foundational coursework, focusing initially on the workings of international bodies and diplomatic practices, covering negotiation strategies, cross-border communication, and worldwide policy frameworks. Subsequently, it delves into specialized studies of pivotal geopolitical matters and specific world regions. Finally, it incorporates hands-on learning opportunities where students can apply their gained insights in practical settings. Vienna serves as a perfect hub for this academic concentration, hosting numerous international agencies, frequent high-profile diplomatic summits addressing global challenges, and serving as headquarters for many transnational businesses and NGOs. WUPU and its International Relations Department are exceptionally positioned to leverage both scholarly knowledge from within the university and practical resources throughout the city. Certain classes feature visiting lecturers who are professionals in international organizations or diplomatic circles. Several courses adopt an interdisciplinary approach, jointly instructed by professors from relevant academic departments.
