The Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) program prepares students to become versatile counseling professionals. Graduates often work in diverse environments including mental health facilities, employment services, youth programs, HR departments, EAPs, hospice care, colleges, prisons, social services, community organizations, and faith-based institutions. The curriculum allows students to tailor their studies through electives and hands-on clinical training to specialize in their chosen field. CMHC graduates gain comprehensive skills to support clients' mental health throughout their lives. Upon completing the program, graduates qualify to pursue LPC licensure by meeting state requirements such as passing background checks and licensing exams, plus completing supervised practice as an LLPC.
