The Department of Communication partners with various WSU departments to deliver a graduate certificate in health communication. This program equips graduate students across disciplines—including communication, public health, nursing, sociology, and social work—with research-driven professional training. It also serves practicing professionals in healthcare fields such as nursing, social work, nutrition, physical therapy, pharmacy, and medicine.
Students pursuing both the Graduate Certificate and a relevant MA can apply up to six shared credits. However, credits transferred from other institutions cannot be used to fulfill the certificate's requirements.
