Technology plays a vital role in contemporary society, with computers serving as its core. Essential activities such as commerce, finance, and communication, along with leisure pursuits like gaming, music downloads, and social interactions, all depend on computers. A computer technologist creates and deploys the software and hardware that enable these functions. Given the significance of computers in daily life and industry, a BSCT degree is highly sought-after and offers diverse career paths. WSU's Computer Technology program is interdisciplinary, allowing students to enroll in both engineering technology and computer science classes. This provides access to a wider range of professors, state-of-the-art technologies, and innovative concepts. As students gain cross-disciplinary skills, they also collaborate with peers from both fields, building an expanded professional network by graduation.
Students must have completed a high school or secondary school academic performance.
