Through observational studies, resource allocation, and technological innovation, LAWREE researchers examine hydrological processes across various scales, from local fields to expansive watersheds. Some LAWREE experts enhance erosion forecasting by refining the Water Erosion Prediction Project (WEPP) model through ongoing evaluation. They also pioneer better irrigation techniques, natural water purification approaches, and agricultural system assessments. Additionally, LAWREE scientists study livestock operations, aquaculture, and ecosystem management to minimize the ecological footprint of controlled biological systems.
