WSU Pullman's sculpture program cultivates an adaptive learning space that equally values cultural, technical, and conceptual dimensions. This specialization is offered to students pursuing either BA or BFA degrees.
You'll have the opportunity to cultivate your unique artistic vision while blending technical experimentation with thoughtful examinations of spatial relationships, both within and beyond traditional pedestal displays.
With over 9,000 square feet of workshop facilities, you'll utilize comprehensive wood and metal shops, our specialized bot cave, plus dedicated spaces for textile work, wax modeling, slurry techniques, and other processes. The curriculum covers both conventional methods like metal casting and mold creation, alongside contemporary approaches including site-specific installations and innovative media. Past students have explored temporal media forms, cross-disciplinary projects, and performance art.
This dynamic program fosters creative growth in an environment that equally prioritizes cultural awareness, technical proficiency, and conceptual depth, with strong emphasis on personal artistic evolution.
