The International Area Studies program is designed for students with global and cross-disciplinary interests. This major allows learners to transcend traditional academic divisions and actively shape their educational path. Options include specializations in Asian studies, Latin American studies, German studies, or French studies.
This program supports students whose passion for the humanities spans multiple fields that aren't usually combined in a single department.

With guidance from a faculty advisor, participants create a customized study plan that aligns with their professional aspirations while meeting WSU's degree criteria. The curriculum incorporates all University Core Requirements (UCORE) plus any specific mandates from the College of Arts and Sciences.
