The M.Arch.2, Advanced Professional Studies program is an NAAB-accredited graduate degree designed for students holding a four-year pre-professional bachelor's degree in Architecture (the prerequisite for M.Arch.2 admission). The initial year builds upon the student's foundational architectural education, while the second year focuses on developing a design thesis that showcases their academic growth and professional capabilities. Typically, students complete 54 credit hours over four semesters (two academic years). M.Arch.2 candidates have the option to pursue part or all of their studies at the Washington-Alexandria Architecture Center (National Capital Region - NCR) or participate in semester-long European study abroad programs.
The graduate program offers adaptable coursework to meet varied student objectives through multiple study pathways. Both the M.Arch.2 and M.Arch.3 tracks lead to a first professional degree with full accreditation from the National Architectural Accrediting Board.
