The three-year professional Master of Landscape Architecture program caters to students holding undergraduate degrees in disciplines outside landscape architecture. This studio-focused curriculum blends three key elements essential to modern landscape architecture practice: human-environment relationships, participatory design processes, and climate-resilient solutions. The program cultivates design expertise through progressive studio courses culminating in a thesis project that addresses built environment issues at various scales, from individual sites to entire regions. Admission is selective, requiring applicants to possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification. A faculty review committee assesses candidates based on academic history, relevant experience, personal statements, and demonstrated capacity for graduate-level landscape architecture studies. While students come from diverse academic and professional backgrounds, preparatory coursework in ecology, environmental sciences, urban planning, or visual arts (including foundational design, drawing, or 3D media) is encouraged but not mandatory.
