This focus area is designed for students passionate about alleviating neurological and mental health conditions through scientific investigation. Participants will gain knowledge about the fundamental biological mechanisms supporting healthy brain function and cognition, study the origins and pathways of neurological disruptions, and examine both existing and emerging treatment strategies. The curriculum emphasizes the interconnected nature of these biological processes across various scales, bridging neuroscience, psychology, clinical practice, and public health. This program prepares students for advanced research in brain and cognitive sciences, offering specialization options in either Cognitive Neuroscience or Molecular Neuroscience.
